Digital Watermark
A code can be embedded in the photo's pixels at capture, so later edits to the image can be spotted.
Content Authenticity Manifest
A C2PA manifest (the global content authenticity standard used by Adobe, Microsoft and the BBC) can be attached to each photo as a proof of origin anyone can check.
Photographer Credentials
The photographer can sign in with the studio's certificate, which can be revoked, so each photo can be traced to a known studio.
Anchored Record
When and with which device the photo was taken can be recorded and anchored at capture, so a later change to that record would show.
Device Attestation
The device that took the photo can count towards the photo's reliability score.
